In react native, you're building mostly for hand held devices, which are portrait orientation. So you have to think more vertically, top to bottom. We can multiple different break points. While un reacnative, we are limited with our with obviously keeping in mind that movil devices are kind of varying in size these days. But for the most part, if you use flex and can a stick to a standard across your ap, it'll definitely flex across he different screens.
