Philothea offers advice on how to progress even further along the ways of humility. The best means for attaining the love of God, says the great angelic doctor, is to consider God's blessings. We need not fear that the knowledge of his gifts will puff us up so long as we are attentive to this truth. Whatever good we have is not from us, alas.
