Atonement Theology - What Is It?

Atonement is an english word that's broadened pretty much universally into theological vocabulary. Atonement theology focuses specifically on the death of jesus and how his dying and rising reconciled us, brought us at one with the father. The fathers kind of rallied around what we would call the ransom theory of atonement: our sin basically put us underneath slavery and bondage to the devil. So in his death a, paid that ransom by his blood to buy us back, or redeem.
