Ivy Lee's Public Relations Career
Ivy lee's public relations career developed toward the end of the progressive era in the united states. In 19 o six, george f baer hired lee to represent the anthracite coal industry. One of his first steps was to publicly assure the press that the coal operators would be providing them with all possible information.

Ivy Lee was one of the founders of the fields of public relations and crisis communications. His approach to public relations was revolutionary for the time, and he helped establish a lot of practices that still exist today.
