The Kings of the Medes in the Book of Daniel
In the book of daniel, as james bajon remarks, there is a notable shift from a medium prominance in the medo persian empire to a persian hegemone. The rise of the persians to dominance in the empire is seen in the raising up of the bear like beast on one of its two sides in chapter seven, verse five. In chapter eight, verse three, the medoPersian empire is represented in a ram with two horns, with one later gaining primacy over the other,. representing the persians.
