The Importance of Intimacy

I define it as sharing ourselves with another in an authentic way that allows us to be seen and experienced in the truth of who we are. So there's an element of witnessing. It's very, very important in intimacy. Like we're witnessing each other in all of our parts. The big or the beautiful and the air quotes ugly parts of us we get to share. That is exactly experiential intimacy. I don't think it's something that we come into this life innately good at some people perhaps, but I think it'ssomething that we need to learn. We need to learn how to show up. We needto learn how to expose ourselves and disclose ourselves. And so
