Archaeology and the Arthur Cycle
There is no strong evidence connecting our mythic king arthur with any recorded historical figure that anyone has found thus far. Tintagel, the place where he was allegedly conceived and born, mount baden, the site of his major military victory, camelot, his royal court and avalon, his place of burial are four key places connected directly to arthur in the stories. But as i have referred to repeatedly, there is the matter of archaeology. How has archaeology affected a historical king arthur? Has it shed any light?
