Tulsa DNA Test - The DNA of a Killer
Brittany's death was the 38th homicide in Tulsa that year, but one of the few that involved sexual assault. Forensic experts were able to use a speck of blood found on the wall leading out of Brittany's bedroom to establish a DNA profile. The suspects' DNA was entered into CODIS, the national database used by the Federal Bureau of Investigation to store and analyze DNA. At the time of Brittany's murder, CODIS contained to more than two million offender profiles, but none matched the killer's sample.
