Introduction
Clark stanley made snake oil from the fat of a live rattlesnake. He used it to treat muscle and joint pain, but he didn't have any actual snake oil in his concoction. His business model was to fool dying people into thinking that a cure is just around the corner. The idiom we now use to classify all those frauds comes from Clark stanley.
