The Perverted Faculty Argument - Is That a Good Thing?

Sometimes in discussions about the perverted faculty argument, a distinction is made. We certainly can use our different capacities in a way that might be other than their obvious or manifest built-in purpose. But does that distinction always apply? Can we apply that to every faculty? Is that the best way to get around some of the objections to this argument?
