The Three Levels of a Hut
The Russian hearth is not in the center of the hut. It's at the edge of it, and this is where we're getting folksy a little bit. This is how the village hut would have been. You would have this stove at the end of the house that would take up the entire wall. And that's the warmest and the best place to sleep. So you want to be there. That's the place given to Baba Yagat, to the idiot, to the hero of the, to the heroes of the story, always because it's the heart of the matter.
