The Difference Between Asian American and Japanese American in California
I was honestly kind of disappointed. I thought there'd be way more like cool people, the square quotes,. Like very specific sense of what that meant for me at the time in my dorm. There weren't. And so it took me a while to actually just wrap my head around and appreciate kind of the diversity of California. But it also took me awhile to find the other kid who was wearing an old mechanics jacket or vans or whatever it was I was into.
