The Rise and Fall of the Bonaparts

In 1791, Napoleon and Joseph Bonapart visited Palisti at a monastery in the highlands of Corsica. The brothers hoped to win Palisti's approval or convince him that they were not his enemies. But their meeting was more amused by their bombast than hostile; it would be the high point in their relationship. In his free time, Napoleon was still working on that history of Corsica he'd started years earlier.
