The Importance of the Boundary Layer
The Reynolds number is a measure of inertial forces to viscous forces. The faster you go, the higher the Reynolds number. So even at your Piper Archer, seeing a pretty high Reynolds number but not too high, you can see that's going to be a pretty small number. But as you go faster and faster, that boundary layer will grow.
