The Origins of Theatre

I heard that you described theatre as this devotional kind of space, which I'd never really thought about. And the repetitive nature of it, almost being like something quite religious or something. There's a ritualistic aspect to the origins of theatre that I think we are a part of. When we enter into the expression of that art form, there's something so different from the process between doing theatre and doing film and television. Film and television is about instinct, I think in many ways. It's about capturing something that will only ever exist once, but preserving it forever.
