The Different Meanings of Words

I love the idea of people reading words to each other from the dictionary. I feel like this is emblematic of a thing that if everyone could just accept it, particularly in non-legal contexts,. Life could be both easier and more full of delight and wonder because words have different meanings to different people. It irritates me a little bit when there's a like on TikTok when a term like 'preparation' moves out of one group and into a different group. And so occasionally the TikTok algorithm will show me some admittedly hilarious responses. But I'm also like, these two things mean two things and it's fine for it to mean two things.
