Is There a Genre of Romance?

I think right now romance yes like the audience feels fractured and I also feel like there is so much content out there. What I would love to see is for us to go back to a place where like those more complicated stories because the heroine that's coming from you know like if like my story is not gonna be the same as the story of a heroine that has Like a certain background and it's an American story. There are different kinds of romance heroines and the beauty of romances that you can sink yourself into that complicated story of someone that has an experience that's very different from yours, says author Colleen Hoover.
