How to Make a Contribution to a Student Loan

Parents should work out whether there's a contribution and have the discussion. As a parent, if you can't afford it, you cannot afford it. If your child gets less than the full loan and they don't have money of their own, then it will be very difficult to survive at university unless the parent is topping that up or they find another way to supplement it. A couple of things I'd probably ask me, how do the parents make those contributions? Is that a payment directly to the establishment or is it also deducted from parents? So let's go back.
