Henrietta Lax's Cells - What's Crazy?

In 1951, George Salk created a vaccine for polio. He took Henrietta's cells and gave them to scientists around the world. She died of cervical cancer in 1951; she never knew that her cells had been removed from her body or sent to labs. Her family only found out 20 years later when they complained about not having enough money to pay for health insurance.
