Are You Interviewing Politically Sensitive People?
The book combines quantitative and qualitative data. It was a challenge to do field work on this topic, which as you rightly pointed out is very sensitive. So I chose a few provinces in different parts of China. In choosing those provinces, I got a more representative sample of business-state relations in China. Also, I could look at a private sector with different strengths. And I present myself as a researcher, not as a policy maker.
