What Happened to Michael Charles Townsend?

The long lasting impact of this case was that in 19 66, congress amended habeas corpus laws to fit with the supreme court's ruling. The matter is that there was somebody named michael charles townsend, totally different. If anyone is like a wizard and can figure out what happened to him, please let us know. It drives me insane when i can't find the answer.
