The designation gives him the power to pursue charges in any jurisdiction he chooses without seeking the cooperation of local federal prosecutors. Why would that be an issue where local federal prosecutors were an impediment previously and why were we told that he already has all the power that he needs if he's now saying he needs to be appointed special counsel to carry out this investigation adequately aren't we owed an explanation?
