The Evil of Government
Both sides seem somehow to think that the other is evil. If you see a problem, let's say we have poor people and the poor people, we need to take care of them. And if somebody else is calling for more government, well, you figure that person must hate the poor because more government means a lesser ability for us to do things voluntarily amongst which is helping the poor. But in some very real sense, government is in fact what we do together.
