John Mure was a leading conservationist of his time, but he had some problematic views about indigenous people. i wrote an article for the atlantic saying that we should not cancel john mure's legacy or excuse him either. John meer also struggled to have the same kind of ampathy with other species and referred to mosquitoes and gnats as 'small people' E o wilson brought attention to early 19th century American life in a way that is quite rare today. He has been widely criticized for supporting race scientists who are critical of human history. But e o wilson will be missed by many Conservationists around the world.
