How to Cast a Fly Line

A lot of the line manipulations, you know, happen after we make that cast. So I'm a right handed caster. I let some lines slide through my left hand. But then as it's sliding and still in the air, I bring my hands together so I can get that line underneath my finger almost as soon as that fly is touching the water. Um, there's some times when a fish will eat that fly as soon as it touches the water. Yeah. You just let go of the line. You're not in a good position to set that hook. And so what I try to practice is feathering that line. Mm hmm.
