The Conservative Party Hasn't Really Struck on One Ideology
The Conservative party has gone through various ideologies, but hasn't really yet settled on one. Margaret Thatcher's vision of deregulation and Liz Truss' compassionate conservatism have all had different iterations. Boris Johnson wanted to spend money; some other Conservatives didn't like that. And then we've had leadership contests, and every time you have one, different thoughts form within the party. So I think all of these divisions have opened up.
