The Importance of Accepting Authority
I was kept in special education all the way up to ninth grade. A teacher who had not been there prior to that day took me aside and said, why are you still here? She really caused me to question whether or not I was capable of more than that. It kind of gave me empowered me to take a stand and I didn't report to special education. They let me out on a trial basis. Yeah. The power of having something to prove. And it can be a great motivating force in itself.
