Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer Says Ukraine Aid Will Be Included in an Omnibus Spending Bill
The White House has asked Congress to authorize $37.7 billion in Ukraine aid, which would bring the total US spending on the war to about $105 billion. Congressional negotiators have been at odds over the final numbers of the spending bill but Schumer said that he expects a deal will be reached soon. The representative from Kentucky who opposes arming Ukraine says that the new aid should be put to a separate vote.
