The FBI's Plan to Bust DPR
Dread Pirate Roberts and Silk Road were shut down by the US government in October of 2013. Ross Tarbell, 29, was arrested after being caught working on his laptop while an undercover agent pretended to be him. The FBI had a copy of the server so they could see what time DPR went offline and online through surveillance. This would help them match up his online behavior with his offline behavior as evidence.
