The Negative Consequences of the Change in Party Funding

A permanent campaign is not a great time to have serious discussions. Parties have become addicted to the things that are necessary to raise money, which takes me to my second point. There's some fundamental problems in the structure of our funding and our political systems. And again, I think it would be great if we went through in the next 10 years, a process of parties kind of rethinking what it takes to get back to some more fundamental truths.
