Bringing a Little Bit of You and Yourself to the Classroom
I think it's important to bring a little bit of your own personality and your own self into the classroom. I had this habit whenever I was on a closing shift. And I would always put on a Nelton John album. It was just fun and the kids liked it. That became our routine for whoever's left in those final 30 minutes of the day. If you're doing something outside of working hours to grow yourself for your career, I feel like as much as possible that should also be compensated time. Especially if you're not paid.
