Is There Potential for a Rapid Collapse of Law Enforcement?

There's potential for essentially a collapse, whether sudden or gradual of our law enforcement system. Policing will become more political. We're already seeing that for the most part, policing comes from the conservative side. There are still opportunities for violent and really heinous crimes to be committed. How is that handled when law enforcement is decreasing or law enforcement disappears?
