The Fed Was Less Doodish Than the Markets Had Expected
The takeaway from these minutes is now the fed may, in fact, raise interust rates, not three times this year, but four. The probability of four quarter point ratehiks is higher than it was prior to the release of these minutes. And so the fed was less dovish than the markets had expected. But i think what really roiled the markets were the comments regarding quantitative tightening. That's when the fed shrinks its balance and that sent the bond markets tanking.
