When you go out for a six hour endurance ride, are you getting into those big, bigger muscle fibers? Yes and no. It depends on how fatigue resistant you are. If you're somebody like me, and my longest ride for the last couple of years has been about three hours. I'm going to be into some pretty big motor units by the end of the ride because I'm not that well trained aerobically.
