Chat GPT can produce writing that's around the average of the writing fed into it. Where's the evidence of genius? A post from Freddy de Boor sent me down this path. The technology is still very young, but how does chat GPT get from mediocrity to brilliance? If we have users provide feedback on when it's being brilliant versus when it's mediocre, then in theory it will become more brilliant. But identifying brilliance is anything but straightforward.
