The Borders of Northern Ireland and Turkey
In both the Republic of Ireland and in Turkey there's sort of these processes function on a couple of different levels. There are official policies that make it harder for religious minorities to live in both places in Ireland. In Turkey you get this top-down government-focused effort to say okay the minorities are allowed to be here but we're gonna squeeze them out as much as possible. You get the social pressure from below of people telling specific communities they're not socially welcome.
