The Legacy of Hitchcock's Dial-Em
The spiral staircase feels like it must have inspired or feels like it was such a forerunner to so many other films. Do you think that's the case with DialM in any way? I don't know whether it's direct, but I think this figure of the amateur detective is he's doing something really interesting on this particular film. And even the worst of Hitchcock is, again, it's so watchable this movie.
