The Evolution of Bacteria

Eukaryotic cells make animals and plants much more readily than bacteria. This is because we have larger genomes, and can switch genes on and off in different tissues. Despite our largely genetic homogeneity inside our bodies, cells and organs compete with each other. During development there's really strong competition between all kinds of organs.
