Is It's Getting Late to Get a Good Autumn Crop?
With climate change, all the tender crops do very well in autumn. October is often quite a mild month and vegetable garden can stay productive into october and sometimes even november. If you want an autumn crop of any kind at all, ideally the end of july, beginning of august. Once you get to the second week of august, you're running against the weather and the light. The falling light is your enemy more than anything else at all.
