"The only thing I can't doubt is that I exist," he said. "I think I know I think and if I think I must exist." Some people have questioned that though, some say, well, did he really prove that or did he just prove that there is thinking? How does he know that there is a thinker as well as the thinking?" He asks another question: Am I the same person 20 years on from when I first started writing this article? And part B of that question is, what makes the person the person? am I the same?
