Yorkist writers attributed failures of Henry VI to the Lancasteran deep moral malaise. The results, according to them, were unrest, internal war and trouble. Once Richard III arrived in town, the rehabilitation of Henry gathered pace. He dug the guy up, and gave him a glorious home in Westminster. So the story around Henry starts to be positively saintly.
