Olivia Troy was one of the inspirations for doing the book. She is in almost the perfect example of a dedicated public servant, who sought to do what was best for the country and follow the law. And that comes really pernicious ideas, whether it was the Muslim ban which as you said had many dimensions that Trump and company had not thought through at all. Even to this day I just have to say parenthetically even to this day, I am shocked a million Americans died,. several hundred thousand of those Americans didn't have to die because the administration resisted science resists common sense resisting social distancing.
