The Importance of Persuading
In 1991, there was a lot of reforms that happened nearly overnight in India. Many parts of the import licensing system were dismantled and OGL list removed overnight. And so, it was very tempting then for most of us to think why couldn't this have been done in the 80s or 60s? But there's obviously an ideological stance which prevented us from taking these steps.
