Finding Older Sites Is Not Impossible
It gets much more difficult to find older sites for a variety of reasons. So if you were going to go look for those sites, you would go looking for dirt of the appropriate age. If you want to preserve an archaeological site, your best places define those type of sites are places that have rapid but gentle burial. Those contexts are pretty hard to find.
