Why Do Bad Things Happen to Good People?

In job eight, four bildad implies that job's children are killed because they had sinned. He is just kind of reaching for straws in the face of an exidential crisis. It poignantly brings to mind john chapter nine, where jesus says that man was born blind, not because of his sin but more or less because it just happens. But i think it's one of those things that we have to rest our faith on. Our faith isn't that everything is going to go swimmingly. It's a trust that god is mindful of us and can create situations that will lead to the best eternal outcomes.
