Literalina's is not about being showy or poly syllabic it's about being awake and that's what i think you've got in the ice cube line an acuity of detail. I hope i don't come across as continually rolling my eyes when people send in their first pages  the point isn't to be uncharitable and shitty it's to hold your work to the brilliant standards i know you want to meet the ones i know you can achieve It reminds me of the bit in things fall apart where a conquote reaches into his goat skin bag searching for his snuff bottle. The sound of the gourd and horn knocking together makes that scene utterly real
