Plasticity and the Evolution of a New Environment
When you move into a new environment, the environment changes that initial response. And so in a sense, plasticity leads to the generation of this variation that can later be canalized ind a sort of longer, tomb term evolutionary solutions. So at some level, plasticity has to play some initial role in how the popula envolves and adapts to that new environment.
