Eleanor and Louis only had two children, both girls, Marie and Alex. As Louis got older, he was ever more in need of a male heir. It's been suggested that towards the end of their marriage, Eleanor deliberately refused to go anywhere near Louis. So this forced Louis to end their partnership. And that's how Eleanor found herself where we first met her. Newly single, 28 years old, and on the run from Boggiancie to her power base in Poitier. To evade the abled and his goons, Eleanor has to travel under the cover of darkness. But she does it!
