In physics, people generally use a four dimensional model of reality that has three spatial dimensions and one time dimension. But in terms of the physical universe, you're talking about physical dimensions. Usually people model it with four dimensions but we use all kinds of, we just mentioned to measure all different kinds of things. Even if you can't physically like draw a picture of like a four dimensional space that represents political ideology, you sort of have an understanding of what that means.
In this episode we explore the weirdness and wonder of Math Without Numbers with mathematician Milo Beckman who wrote a book about the math behind multiple infinities, strange topologies, and extra dimensions, all without using numbers to explain some of the most fascinating and complex ideas that usually only make sense when scribbled in strange notations on a blackboard.
