If you think that Chinese behavior threatens important American interest we do not everybody does right but we do and that's what the analysis in the book indicates. The other point I make here is you mentioned realism. One of the reasons that realism is having a hard time being taken seriously these days is that the hardcore realists make the argument that regime type has nothing to do with international behavior unless you're in the U.S. There's less attention to the fact that may also be the case there may also be domestic factors that influence the calculations of China.
